Penguin Book Cover Design Award entry for 2017. The brief was to design a cover for the non-fiction novel 'In Cold Blood' by Truman Capote for a new generation of readers, avoiding obvious clichés.

The cover design consists of imagery inspired by tattoo designs found on the two criminals in the novel. The images are paired with a dark navy and red colour palette and reflects themes of death and violence.
